A GREAT FINISH IN BARI AND ALTAMURA FOR MOC 2007
Mediterranean Cup in the Old Bari, today; Mediterranean Gran Prix Endas in Altamura, tomorrow: two of the most beautiful historical town centres of Apulia region are about to host the last stages of MOC 2007, arranged by Sporting Club Catalano in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment and the Alta Murgia National Park, main sponsor of the event.
After the MOC races held in the woods and in the forests of Castellaneta Marina, Gravina in Puglia and Cannole, MOC 2007 choose a different but fascinating frame for a great conclusion.
Altamura is ready for the last stage: "The City of Altamura is proud of hosting the Mediterranean Gran Prix in its town centre, and we hope to fascinate the participants with our typical ‘claustri’ – said Mayor Mario Stacca.
Many of the 250 runners, coming from 22 countries, prepared the last two competitions in the travelling O-camp with trainings in Palagiano, Ginosa, Laterza, Castellaneta Marina and Alberobello.
During the pause days organizers arranged a Tour in Montenegro, hosting country of MOC 2008. A delegation composed by president of Sporting Club Catalano Marcello Dibattista, the Event Manager Gabriele Viale and the orienteering legend Jorgen Martensson visited Cetinje, Kotor, Budva ed Ulcinj, where a competition was held in the town centre with some local orienteers.
