From Norway to Puglia 2004: Halden SK
The best orienteers of the prestigious Halden Skiklubb will be for sure amid the protagonists in the International Orienteering Festival in Puglia from 6th to 14th March, 2004.
The Norwegian athletes will be led by the winner of O-Ringen 2003: the Finn Mats Haldin. Last July in Uddevalla the Norwegian club got also the first place in the Women Super Elite with the British Heather Monro.
The club won also the last edition of Tiomila with his amazing male team. In 2002 Halden got a striking double victory with both its female and male teams. Since years Halden SK is always on the top of the big relays.
Many of the best Norwegian orienteers run for the club, like the veterans Petter Thoresen e Kjetil Björlo, the World Champion in Relay 1999 Tore Sandvik and "the king of the night" Øystein Kristiansen. Among the foreigners, the appointed World Champion Emil Wingstedt, the previous leader of the World Ranking Jarkko Huovila, the British national Jon Duncan and the Slovakian Cobra, Marian Davidik.
