MOC 2008 staff in action
At the beginning of October the MOC 2008 STAFF spent several days in Puglia in order to fix the last details for next MOC challenge, Mediterranean Cup and Grand Prix.
Gabriele Viale's team worked very hard during this time and it has been made many agreements with municipalities, sponsors, media and so on. We are also planning the leisure activities we will offer to the participants, like tours in wine cellars, banquet in historical town and many other activites.
As far as the maps aspects are concerned, the most important affair was the mapping work in Policoro forest-Circolo Velico Lucano where will be organized the 3rd and final stage of MOC Championship.
The head mapmakers is Markku Joensuu (very well know mapmaker from Finland ). He has been involved in the mapping staff in the biggest competitions in Finland like JUKOLA and FIN5 and he and his staff will guarantee new maps in the high quality in the Orienteering Academy MOC 2008.
Regarding the MOC camp in November Mr Robert Zahrdal, manager of training camp WOC 2008 in CZE, will visit the new area in order to planned the course setting training MOC CAMP 2008.
